You don’t have to be obsessive about the ecosystem to see the beauty in the Skycharger. This is simply a good idea.

The Skycharger is designed to charge almost any make or model of cell phone using nothing but solar and wind power. With a peak power of 1.8 Kw, the Skycharger can charge up to 104 phones an hour, storing any unused energy in a battery bank.

The Skycharger is quick to set up and take down, with space inside for marketing, making it ideal for concerts, fairs and festivals. It operates outdoors and away from traditional power sources.

There is no word yet on pricing, but the Skycharger, also known as a Recharge Pod Mk2, can be rented for your events.

With the trend leaning toward keeping the ecosystem happy, these cell phone charging stations should be widely in use by 2010. Stats for Eco-Friendly Mass Gadget Chargers Trending: Older & Warm
