A talented artist named Kyong Nguyen is behind these mysterious images. His photos seem like questionable sculptures, mixing realism with surrealism. Nguyen’s subjects possess an imaginative expressiveness, especially when situated in cold office interiors or the outdoors. Every one of Kyong Nguyen’s portraits exposes disturbing relationships within ourselves. It’s a carefully composed fiction. He presents us with a world in which contorted and twisted poses appear natural, forest encounters and grotesque cat-and-mouse play catches our eye and a young boy standing on the ledge brings us back to our childhood fantasy world.
