The Ears Stool by Ayala Serfaty is part of the designer’s Aqua Creations and aims to take a unique perspective on felt upholstery using a three-dimensional design and hand-crafted technique. Tel Aviv-based Serfaty created the seat from a solid metal tripod frame with cushion and upholstered it with multiple layers of felt.

From far away, the Ears Stool looks like it could be carved from wood or stone—it seems almost reptilian. Upon closer inspection, the fuzzy texture of the felt becomes apparent.

The Ears Stool by Ayala Serfaty was created in collaboration with Irit Dulman, a textile artist.
