Zecc Architects has created a contemporary dutch cottage that looks as though it's been inspired by Asian architecture. Strikingly simple, it features floor-to-ceiling windows that not everyone will appreciate considering it's one level. Yet people can easily shut off the world by flipping wooden walls that could easily be likened to shuttered screens.

The dutch cottage continues its modern aesthetic indoors with the help of interior designer Roel Norel. All wood inside as well, it might be small, but it feels very spacious. The clever use of high ceilings and predominant windows ensures an airiness that opens up the space significantly. The outdoors is also invited inside thanks to the design of the cabin. It is a comforting sanctuary for anyone.
