 The Fat Albert ‘Dumb Donald Hat’ Makes An Haute Comeback Published: Feb 22, 09 Comments: 1 Views: 5,533 It appears we haven’t seen the last of the infamous Dumb Donald hat (from the hit 70’s cartoon ‘Fat Albert.’) I’m not exactly sure what the benefit of this full-coverage hat would provide—that is, unless you have chronic bed head, an aversion to sunlight, or a really ugly face. These images of hats found at Trend de la Creme include designs by Narciso Rodriguez, Central Saint Martins, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Giles Deacon, Claydies, and You Must Create.  Given today's politically correct climate, I can't imagine the show would make it to see the light of day -- that is, unless they changed the characters names to 'Weight Challenged Albert' and 'Mentally Disabled Donald.' But, political correctness aside, his signature eyehole look lives on in 2009.
