These Old Portraits Have Been Paired with Dried Flowers

By: Lacey-Jane Walsh - Published: • References: marcepani.art.pl & juxtapoz
These intriguing monochromatic photographs by Marcela Paniak take old portraits and update them using dried flowers. Old black and white photos can often be interesting to look at but by pairing them up with dried flower bits and adding a 3D element to them, Paniak has seriously improved the look of these shots.

In some of these fantastic updated portraits, Paniak uses the dried flowers almost like little hats for these characters. In other shots, she partially blocks out their faces with flower bits, which in some cases has a kind of surreal effect on the photos.

In this monochromatic series, Marcela Paniak does something very impressive. She manages to take something old and outdated and turn it into an interesting work of art. These flower-infused photos breathe life into old photos. Stats for Flowery Monochromatic Portraits Trending: Older & Chilly
