Dr. Anna McLaughlin, a neuroscientist and founder of Sci-Translate, has announced the opening of a one-of-a-kind mind-body health workshop called 'Creative Connections' that is geared towards those dealing with feelings of loneliness. The one-day event will take place at Selina’s Camden location in London.
According to Dr. McLaughlin, the new event has been designed specifically for those looking to connect with like-minded individuals working in the creative industries, as this sector is made up of many freelancing creatives who often spend long periods of time on their own. In addition, the event will focus on teaching participants how to improve their well-being through interpersonal connections.
“Despite having access to millions of online communities and being more digitally connected than ever, many of us live a lonely, isolated existence day to day. But we all crave connection—with others and with a community of people who share our interests," said Dr. McLaughlin in reference to her inspiration for creating the event.
