This minimalistic DIY pencil holder by South Korean blogger Hobby Design will keep your stationery put. Unlike other desk supply holders, this cylindrical cement block has many deep tunnels so that each pencil can stand individually. From atop, the design resembling something like a modern honeycomb. The creator makes his own stencil for the alignment of the holes. That being said, you could arrange the pencil holes however you want, to form shapes, letters or numbers.
The pictorials are very clear and thorough, but seem like a longer and more complex process than your average DIY. It seems difficult, since it requires making your own molds from scratch, not to mention the handling of cement.
