Making a political statement about our throwaway society, the dissolvable dress erodes to nothing once exposed to water.  The dress is meant to highlight the fact that plastics can be made friendlier.

This is the ultimate in disposable fashion. A symbol of our throwaway society - not to mention the stuff of male fantasies. But, to the professors who designed this disappearing dress, it is a profound artistic statement about how plastics can be made to be kinder to our polluted planet. Here is the world's first dissolvable dress, the culmination of a creative partnership at the University of Sheffield between the award-winning designer Prof Helen Storey and Prof Tony Ryan, a leading chemist, to show off new materials that can make consumer products less environmentally harmful. Nice for a risque TV ad in EU otherwise No Good. Great for AANR nude clubs, women wear dresses & rains come theyre Nude. Great for HI, Palau Is, Caribbean, Mexico, Thailand, Brazil otherwise NO. Have some Playmates wear these for a shoot. Or in the 08 Sports Illus Swimwear edition. Nice. Or models wear bikinis under dress for runway Rainshow
