Diesel will officially launch two new home furnishing collections during next week’s Salone Internazionale Del Mobile in Milan, and this online video invite to the launch exhibit gives an appetizing taste of what can be expected. The furniture and lighting collections feature the trademark aging and dying treatments that are typical of Diesel’s fashion collections and include interchangeable items that can be redressed each season with new covers and accessories for new looks. The inaugural collections, like Diesel’s previously-launched textile collection, are inspired by rock music and industrial classics. These upscale casual products offer a new alternative to luxury designer interiors. Diesel have partnered with some of furniture design’s most reputable names, including Moroso, Foscarini and Zucci, to come out with an impressive full range of items from sofas, chairs and cabinets to mirrors, tables, flooring, desk and ceiling lighting, and home textiles. According to Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, Diesel has set their sights on revolutionizing the furniture industry by bringing a faster pace more akin to the seasonal innovation of the fashion industry.
