The Dove Self-Esteem Project recently announced the launch of the #DetoxYourFeed campaign. The new initiative was created in response to a recent survey that stated that "1 in 2 girls say toxic beauty advice on social media causes low self-esteem." The new project encourages young women to choose their own beauty standards and unfollow accounts that lower their self-esteem.
By raising awareness about toxic beauty advice through films, educational content, and partnerships with inspiring voices, the campaign aims to encourage important conversations between parents, caregivers, and teens. "We've identified a clear problem that is eroding the self-esteem of our girls and needs immediate attention and action.
