Leggings are definite must-haves this season but having the most stylish designer leggings just might cost you an arm and a leg.

Which brings me to the question: How can something that is barely even a pant—some call them half pants—cost so darn much? ShopBop.com is selling designer leggings such as Alice + Olivia and Nuit; Alice + Olvia’s Leather Combo Leggings cost $330 while the Nuit Leather Leggings are priced at a monstrous $850. And don’t get me started on Alexander Wang. The designer’s Lace Leggings cost $1,175! Buy them if at your risk (of not having anything else to wear but these leggings for the next few seasons).
