Check out the dance moves by these hexapod bots! Several designs of these crab-like robots were entered for the 2008 Austrian Hexapod Championship. The bots are decorated, sometimes eerily so, and display a surprising number of funky steps.

Pictured here is the winning entry, a bot called Hexapodmeisterschaft made by the students of HTL Saalfelden engineering school. It could do some pretty sleek moves and deserves its viral video popularity. The other video here show the range of imaginative entries.
