The Cyclops Lamp is named after the intriguing shape and placement of its light switch. Set right in the center of the fluorescent-like tubular light bulbs and taking the form of a circle, it might seem rather illogical, but instead it is quirky and functional. To turn the Cyclops Lamp on, the user simply needs to pull the center downwards by hooking their fingers into the 'eye.' In this case, the form is the function.
Created by the Netherlands-based industrial designer Sander Mulder, the Cyclops Lamp is minimalist and slightly futuristic. It is available in anodized black, champagne, silver, or brushed metal finishes and can come with customized cable colors. The Cyclops Lamp is particularly suitable for office settings. Fixed above desks or in corridors, it adds simple class and elegance.
