It goes without saying that Cyclades packaging is infinitely more appealing than the popular practice of wrapping vegetables in saran on top of styrofoam trays. The method of display, coupled with the featureless computer-printed stickers on top are greatly outdone by lovely graphics and superior materials used by student designer Anna Trympali of Greece.
The many different types of foods demanded specialized packaging, from jars and plastic containers to little burlap sacks and simple tags. Each allows the consumer to aesthetically -- and occasionally tangibly -- discern and appreciate the rich colors and textures of the sweet potatoes, the almonds and more.
While one can already recognize the item at hand, Anna explored an enhanced branding strategy in her Cyclades packaging that comprises scrumptious illustrations in exquisite earthy colors with organic shapes.
