To promote a new product called Foster’s Scuba, Foster’s has launched a new campaign where internet viewers can control an actual submarine over the internet.  Visitors to the website can also watch all the other (drunk) submarine drivers take their turn at the submarine.

The campaign, called ‘Ride the Scuba’ is meant to celebrate the launch of a new bubble-control mechanism in their beer,

The technology allow users to control a real submarine, choosing several camera views delivering a real product benefit that is instigating gamers and marketeers.

Foster’s have launched a new in-can Scuba that creates smaller bubbles for a lager that slips down like a dream. To celebrate, we’ve installed Ride The Scuba at the National Marine Aquarium. Ride The Scuba is the world’s first internet enabled Scuba device, giving you the chance to destroy some big bubbles of your own by controlling a real Scuba in real time, all from the comfort of your PC. Looks like fun, bring this to the US. Radical. Use any sub model- my pic: Seaquest DSV model type about scale 1/32 size. BIG to see underwater with. Or the classic SSRN Seaview from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV show, 1960s.
