Interesting Imported Condoms a Hit With Cool Chinese Students

Perhaps it’s a case of teenage bravado and implied coolness, but contraceptive cell phone charms are all the rage among high school students in the Chinese city of Nanning.

The condom charms from a mysterious brand called Interesting Imported Condoms not only come in a variety of colors, but the packages are also adorned with cartoon characters, zodiac signs and other gimmicky graphics clearly designed to appeal to the younger set.

Contraceptive cell phone charms might make carrying condoms a visible and fashionable statement, but their low cost (5-30 yuan) make the supposed contraceptive dubious in terms of safety.
