A Rhode Island-based startup recently launched coffee-gifting app called 'Nack,' which enables people to buy a cup of coffee for anyone, anywhere. Designed to be used by friends, family, colleagues and even strangers, the app provides a simple way to send someone a little pick-me-up.

Unlike other mobile gifting apps, Nack is designed as "a social network built around the coffee experience." To use the app, users simply select a recipient from their contact list and include the amount they wish to give, a personalized message and an optional photo. The recipient will then receive the gift via text message, in addition to a message encouraging them to send a coffee gift of their own. Users can even leave suspended pre-paid coffee gifts at select cafes as an anonymous act of kindness.

The coffee-gifting app not only allows users to send friends and colleagues a free cup of joe, but it also encourages small gestures that make a positive impact in the community.
