The Coffee Break Table is Simply Composed of Rolled Plastic and a Platter

— February 9, 2013 — Art & Design
Why not bring lightness to more aspects of your life. The delightful Coffee Break Table performs well as a versatile piece of furniture that's surprisingly easy to work with, even when you decide that you don't want to use it.

The design by Francisco Pitschieller and Croft Joao comprises a 2-millimeter sheet of plastic that's under two feet in width. It's rolled lengthways to form a cylinder and snaps together and detaches easily with metal joints. This broad tube sits upright with a pair of handles just below the rim and a stretchy band down its side. Place its associated serving tray on top to give the Coffee Break Table a convenient surface. You can slide books and magazines into the side and even stash clutter in its hollow center.
