Progreso and COBOD Creates a Printed Durable Home Within Hours

Progreso and COBOD joined forces to create a special 3D-printed building in Guatemala. It is the first 3D-printed building that is able to withstand seismic activity, which ensures that it is earthquake-resistant. The home is made by blending elements of a contemporary 3D-printing construction technique that is fused with traditional local craftsmanship.
This can be seen exemplified by the thatched roof, for example. The entire home is made from the BOD2 printer by COBOD and the 3D printed created a cement-like blend in various layers to create the structure's shell. Notably, the entire process from printing to building took 26 hours. This was spread out within the span of 7 days to build the structure.
