How comfortable would you feel in the Cloche Sofa? Carlo Sampietro has come up with a fascinating and challenging concept with his 'The Street is in the House' masterpiece project. This incredible couch actually comprises a real section of a retired segment of the New York City sewage system.

Indeed, the big, rusty, metal pipe has been cleaned, cut and modified in order to serve a very different purpose for the NYC resident. The artist incised rectangular openings in the thick copper tube that can be hinged open and shut, revealing or concealing comfy places to sit. The Cloche Sofa's cushions made from gold velvet material bolster your bottom and all the way up to your head. Several people can be accommodated in this sewerage seat that is certainly not a toilet.
