Melting Bear in Copenhagen Creates Climate Change Awareness

Polar bears have become the unofficial mascot of global warming. They are cute, fuzzy and, oh ya, being displaced every day because of a deteriorating environment.

Implications - One of the most effective ways for a charitable organization to generate press coverage is through elaborate publicity stunts. By investing in an installation or ad campaign that deliberately shocks the public, the organization can transform the short-term curiosity interest to genuine issue concern by simply focusing on the facts.
