Centerpiece by Daniel Hulsbergen Combines Two Dutch Trades

Centerpiece by Daniel Hulsbergen, a recent graduate from the Design Academy in Eindhoven based in Waalre, The Netherlands, is a collection of vases that combines two Dutch trades: porcelain and wicker. He takes nearly whole Delfts Blue vases and completes them with hand crafted wicker braiding. Although it is unclear whether he purposefully fragmented the vases or found them that way, he gives them a second lease on life in a unique way.

While the designer notes that there is little love left for the craftsmanship behind wicker, this collection shows one way in which it can be revitalized itself. Centerpiece by Daniel Hulsbergen may combine two traditions, but the result is entirely contemporary. Each piece is different from the next. Stats for Wicker Porcelain Vases Trending: Older & Mild
