Blake Lively, seen in the photo, is the actress who plays Serena van der Woodsen, the beautiful protagonist, on the CW’s salacious hit series, Gossip Girl. She is posing for a Vanity Fair shoot with a heavily jewel-encrusted, ultra luxurious, 33 lb yellow Christian Dior gown.

The haute couture satin creation, which was carefully hand stitched, is bejeweled with thousands of dazzling Swarovski crystals, which added to the heavy gown’s regal look… and did I mention that the extravagant dress weighs 33 lbs?

I think I know where they took this picture. I believe it was taking in Venice (Italy) on the promenade. I have a picture of me in the same place, with 2 dressed up people in a costume of the era. Looks like this fashionista picked up on the same idea. (anyone wanting to see my pic on that spot, just let me know :-)
