The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is celebrating Black History Month with a series of special events that recognize some of the legendary contributions African Americans have made to the genre of rock and roll.

This year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is celebrating Black History Month by hosting a series of film screenings, live concerts, special exhibits and intimate panel discussions. These exclusive events are intended to recognize how African American musicians such as Al Green, Bobby Womack, Solomon Burke and others have contributed to the history of Rock and Roll. Some of the standout events being held this year include an interview with one of the founding members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, as well as a screening of the documentary '808: The Movie.'
