The 'Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour' Celebrates Black History Month

The 'Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour' hosted by 'Hush Tours' celebrates Black History Month with a series of educational events detailing the history of hip hop in New York City. While many people know that hip hop was born in New York City, not everyone knows the details of how the genre developed. This tour provides an in-depth history of hip hop in the form of an interactive and educational tour.

The Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour is an ongoing event hosted by Hush Tours. The tours run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and consists of a four-hour jaunt around New York City's many boroughs. The tour specifically focuses on sites in the Bronx and Harlem where hip hop was born such as the former home of DJ Kool Herc. As an added bonus, the tour will host celebrity guests such as Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow and other old-school MCs.

The educational tours provides a fun and educational way for New York City residents to celebrate Black History Month.
