Bubble images, regardless of context, are always interesting, because you never know what you’re going to get. With these images by YouTube user New Scientist, we get to see what it looks like to heat up a bubble; the results were surprising to say the least.

Holding on to bubbles is difficult because the forms are so fragile and fleeting. In these images and video, we see that when a bubble doesn’t pop and is heated, we see cyclone like images form inside the bubble. The colors are magnificent and eclectic, in fact, this might be the trippiest thing you’ll see all day.
