The Bravalla Festival is an event that takes place in Sweden, and this year Karlsson & Bjork designed the lounge areas and entranceways for the activities.

Instead of using conventional materials like wood, the team decided to go with an unexpected material: shipping containers. The containers were connected so that they serve as the pillars, as well as the connectors as people walk through the entrance area. Instead of simply leaving them as is, they are also covered in graphics advertising the festival, making for a warm welcome for all party animals and music lovers. One guideline for the structures was that they could be easily constructed and taken apart. The shipping containers allow for this versatility, and Karlsson & Bjork were also able to put everything together within three days.
