Big Head Poetry by Maia Flore is Quirky and Creepy

The Big Head Poetry photo series involves a theme that is one part quirky, one part creepy and entirely imaginative. Although the name of the portrait series doesn't give much away, it does center around a few heads. Yet the faces belonging to these nameless heads have been obscured by the person's hair. Wrapped rather than draped like the girl from 'The Ring,' the Big Head Poetry series is, thankfully, more artistic than horrifying.

Shot by photographer Maia Flore, who dabbled with the idea back in 2010, the Big Head Poetry series is captured against colorful backdrops that makes it more feminine and whimsical. It also helps that flowers are placed where the models' mouths would be for an added element. Stats for Hairily Masked Faces Trending: Older & Mild
