Most “Beware of Dog” signs are boring, bland and ordinary. Michelle Page from California, however, found a unique concept in dog signs from Nepal and has made them available worldwide.

Danger Dogs are warning signs made on metal plates using the images of owner’s canines.  Page calls her designs Danger Dogs.  Like the signs from Nepal, Danger Dogs are hand-painted portraits of your animal on metal plates with a custom message, whether it’s ‘Danger Dog,’ ‘Beware of Dog,’ ‘Enlightened Dog,’ or any other phrase you wish, in any language.

Page has enlisted Nepali artists to create these one-of-a-kind dog portraits. You can buy the signs ready-made or e-mail a non-returnable picture of your canine and then specify your style and phrase choice.  If you have two or more dogs, you can choose a sign that features multiple pets for an additional cost.

John Walsh, director emeritus of the J. Paul Getty Museum, is a fan of Danger Dogs; in fact, he owns six and calls them 'delightful,' adding, 'There is a lot of sophistication here.' (nypost)
