Luxirare recently posted a devilishly scrumptious-looking recipe for avocado sorbet. Avocado is a fruit rarely used in desserts and I was immediately curious to learn more.
While the flavor of avocado sorbet is truly original and unique on its own, the recipe is equally as interesting as it only takes five minutes to prepare, not including freezing time. The recipe also does not require that you own an ice cream machine or a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer. The ingredients include lime juice, lime zest, cilantro, corn syrup and water. For those looking for the avocado flavor to really stand out, the cilantro can be omitted.
The final product, after freezing, is a vibrant and refreshing sorbet that will truly excite your taste buds. Browsing through the photos of the Avocado Sorbet alone are almost as good as enjoying a spoonful yourself.
