Aveda is finally find a solution for all the bottle caps hanging around in the back of cupboards and drawers at home. Aveda’s Cap Recycling Program gives those lonely plastic caps a purpose.
The North Pacific Ocean carries about 3 million tons of plastic waste, which many sea creatures mistake as food. Aveda’s Cap Recycling Program hopes to reduce this by using 100% recycled materials for bottle caps for their own products.
The beauty company has enlisted the help of schools, salons and stores to help reduce plastic waste in the ocean.
