The Austrian Pavilion is Featured at the Shanghai Expo 2010

I suppose if we ever encounter extraterrestrial beings, their mothership will look something like the Austrian pavilion pictured here. Designed by SPAN & Zeytinoglu, the building contains some of the most mind-boggling engineering feats I have seen in a long time. Extremely angled interiors and wave-like exteriors make the structure look like a living optical illusion.

The Austrian pavilion is one of many super-modern architectural pieces that will be seen at the expo starting this weekend. Of all the projects though, this one is certainly the most otherworldly. Stats for Contorted Spaceship Structures Trending: Older & Chilly
