More often than not a product is required to conform to the dimensions of a standard size box that in no way represents the true appearance of the item. Aufschwung Swing packaging bore the advantage of an article with an unusual shape and inconvenient proportions, allowing the designer to get a bit creative.

The contemporary playground piece was made by Michael Hensel from a handsome bent wood and high quality fabric straps. If the consumer could see the elegant object with his own eyes than the wrapping would be all the more successful.

So Gerlinde Gruber of Austria manufactured a unique carrying case of cardboard. Aufschwung Swing packaging comprises minimal material, a view of the item itself, a handle and a protective brace that keeps everything together.
