Designer Ross Kemp is trying to make it easier for lifeguards to save lives with his ASAP water rescue craft. The ASAP is a propeller-driven watercraft designed to help lifeguards reach struggling swimmers sooner.

Lifeguards have a tough job to say the least. They are expected to ensure swimmers are safe using only their eyes, ears and outdated equipment. The ASAP water rescue craft would give lifeguards an edge by giving them a quick way to get out to victims. The craft is small, lightweight and has been created with the victim in mind. The craft's compact size and ability to easily transport two gives it a slight edge over both a jet ski (bulkier and more expensive) and a life preserver.
