Word on the street is that Apple may be building a netbook. The device has been called the “iPod Touch HD” in previous press reports, and is a device much like the iPod Touch, except with a much larger screen.

The new device (whatever it may be) is expected to start shipping in the third quarter of this year. With netbooks booming in popularity, it would make sense for Apple to jump in on the netbook market. Do you think it’ll happen, or is this just another iPod?
