Deloitte recently opened a building in Amsterdam that anticipates the needs of the employees who work there. In recent years, architects have incorporated many high-tech features into urban office buildings. However, the new Deloitte building may just be the most connected office in the world.

The 'Edge' is an intuitive office building located in the heart of Amsterdam. The building boasts an unprecedented 40,000 sensors, which helps to communicate information about light, motion and heat back to the cloud. The building can also sense more complex needs such as an empty espresso machine or whether the towel dispensers need to be restocked. These features mean that the building anticipates the needs of the employees and the staff who work there.

In addition to its high-tech features, the Edge building also boasts a record-breaking sustainability score. In short, the intuitive office building demonstrates the future of connected design.
