Anime conventions are now including cosplay fashion shows. Anime Central of Chicago created an anime fashion show called Khaotic Kouture, mashing up different styles of anime fashion.

Otaku female models reigned, but Decora, the rave-like threads, and even some Steampunked fashion were on the stage. Visual-kei was visual for the pretty boys, and Lolita showed adult women dressed up as pre-pubescent children.
