Illustrator Andreas Samuelsson Explores Three Dimensional Art

An illustrator by trade, artist Andreas Samuelsson has recently delved into the three dimensional world to create a series of nostalgic sculptures inspired by his childhood. From a Stabilo Bos highlighter pen and tennis ball to a ruler and cassette player, Andreas Samuelsson has produced 15 handsawn MDF everyday objects in total.

Based in Göteborg, Sweden, Andreas Samuelsson writes, "These objects are like a diary of my life, to celebrate and preserve a history. It is a unique interpretation painted out of memories from my childhood until today." With the use of bright acrylic paint, his work brings back to light the simple joys of childhood.
