An illustrator by trade, artist Andreas Samuelsson has recently delved into the three dimensional world to create a series of nostalgic sculptures inspired by his childhood. From a Stabilo Bos highlighter pen and tennis ball to a ruler and cassette player, Andreas Samuelsson has produced 15 handsawn MDF everyday objects in total.
Based in Göteborg, Sweden, Andreas Samuelsson writes, "These objects are like a diary of my life, to celebrate and preserve a history. It is a unique interpretation painted out of memories from my childhood until today." With the use of bright acrylic paint, his work brings back to light the simple joys of childhood. They are currently being exhibited in Stockholm, Sweden until June.
