Anderssen & Voll’s Two Designs are Adaptable and Seamless

Anderssen & Voll is an Oslo-based studio that recently released two slender desk designs—the Pavilion AV16 desk and the Pavilion AV17 desk. Both of these pieces are envisioned in such a way that they can seamlessly suit both office and residential needs. This makes sense as the furniture pieces were designed “at the start of the pandemic” and reflect the demands of home-working arrangements.
Anderssen & Voll created laminated both tabletops with linoleum and veneered edges; for the legs, the designers employed bent steel tubes. The one feature that boldly distinguishes Pavilion AV 16 from Pavilion AV17 is that the latter has a backboard made from a foam-pressed veneer. This allows for a greater degree of privacy.
