This is an interesting real-life twist on the Eddie Murphy movie “Coming to America”. Charles Wesley Mumbere spent half his life working in obscurity as a nurse’s aide in the US, hiding his African royal heritage. He was doing just that until recently when suddenly Uganda’s government decided to restore the traditional tribal kingdoms that were banned in 1967, much to the surprise of the Spring Creek rehab Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. On Monday, Uganda’s President crowned 56 year old Mumbere, king of the Rwenzururu Kingdom to the sound of drumbeats and the cheering of thousands.
