 Brave Jewelry By Kate Cusack GORGEOUS ACCESSORIES WITH TEETH Brooklyn based designer Kate Cusack is the creator of these quite amazing pieces of sculptural art-wear made with Zippers. Kate Cusack’s approach to making jewelry is not one as a fashion designer, but more one of visual art. Her zipper pieces demonstrates a remarkable eye for shapes, detail and color combination. She also works as a costume designer for theater productions and her zipper fashion accessories are sold across the world. Most designers tries to hide the zips on coats, trousers and bags, but not Kate Cusack. These lovely zipper pieces are meant to be flaunted. I would wear the bright pink necklace with a black cocktail dress any day.  It’s ironic that most fashion designers try to hide or disguise zippers in their creations. However, I love zippers’ shiny metal teeth and I want to show off, not hide, their sparkle and their sinuous flexibility.
