Taking old images and found artwork, artist Facundo Arganaraz reworks and reinvigorates the pieces to create a series of altered images that resonate with a more modern aesthetic.

The artist uses a collage and screen print technique to create new art out of recycled vintage pictures, including photographs, x-rays, photocopies and other nostalgic pieces that would otherwise be discarded. He then adheres the collages on top of a cloudy, paint washed canvas and overlays text, color and other visuals. The effect has a vintage appeal with a modern twist, recreating various retro landscapes for the present viewer.

Facundo Arganaraz does not dismiss the past, rather he gives life to outdated trash through his altered images. Stats for Reworked Retro Pictures Trending: Older & Mild
