Alok Nanda and Company Create a Monochrome Take on Traditional Design

The chocolate company Filter enlisted the help of design firm Alok Nanda and Company to create packaging for the company's new line of premium chocolates. Available in six different varieties, Filter's new line features chocolate bars spiced with flavors found in the Indian sub-continent. Bursting with notes of Betel Leaf, Mango, Cinnamon and Parsi Ceremonial Rose, these exotic chocolates naturally called for an intriguing package.

Alok Nanda and Company created a series of packages adorned with traditional Indian motifs. The designers moved away from using the bright colors often associated with India. Veering away from this supposed kitschiness, the design is monochrome and classy. The appearance of the black and white exterior promises the consumer a premium chocolate experience featuring only the best ingredients.

Unexpected, clever and classy, the Filter chocolate packaging screams good taste.
