AllSaints S/S '09 Features Matching ‘Dos & Muted Hues

In clicking through the images for AllSaints' S/S '09 catalog featured in Mark Hampton's hair styling portfolio, I couldn't help but notice two major themes: matching 'dos and muted hues.

Indeed, the unisex haircut is clearly hot for 2009, as AllSaints' models cover a number of other fashion phenomena we've seen for this season, from wearing shorts with blazers to pantsuits for women and rolled-up pant legs for both genders.

Implications - Current media moguls are abolishing gender restrictions in fashion and encouraging their followers to do the same. These consumers seek styles that are unisex or lean towards the opposite gender so that they can free themselves from gender constraints and express themselves as individuals. Companies can cater to fashionable demographics by manufacturing styles that aren't gender-specific.
