The Aline Lounge Collection Modernizes Victorian Tufted Upholstery

At first glance, the Aline Lounge Collection doesn’t actually look like a furniture series. Its accordion aesthetic is so unique that each piece looks more like art than anything else. The reason the Aline Lounge Collection looks so different and original is that it is a modern take on the Victorian tradition of tufted upholstery.

Forgoing the typical quilted look, the Aline Lounge Collection reduces this technique of tufting by upholstering each long individual cushion and then stacking them together on an engineered spine to form dramatic elongated tufts. Although that might seem like more work, it really isn't.

Designed by Shawn Littrell, the Aline Lounge Collection is both colorful and minimal, perfect for contemporary spaces. It is comprised of a lounger and an ottoman. Stats for Accordion Furniture Trending: Older & Mild
