The 'Bakers Royale' blog has published a tasty recipe that turns leftover fruit crumble into delicious alcohol-infused ice cream. While crumble is the perfect way to use up leftover fruit, this ice cream recipe is the perfect solution for leftover fruit crumble.

To make this recipe you will need leftover crumble that has been infused with a bit of alcohol, such as port or another variety of sweet wine. Combine the crumble with heavy cream and vanilla beans and bring to a boil. Once the mixture has boiled, remove it from the heat and then freeze for about two hours. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and salt. Place the egg mixture over a summing pot of water and then mix again. Fold the egg mixture into the chilled cream mixture and then freeze everything for at least eight hours.

While this recipe involves a number of steps, the end result is a generous serving of alcohol-infused ice cream.
