Air New Zealand Unveils a Bizarre Campaign Featuring David Hasselhoff

Air New Zealand recently released a different ad to promote their Skycoach seat promotion. One can only wonder where the idea for this piece of advertising came from, but the result is strange and hilarious.

The commercial features the mascots of the company, the inseparable sheep twins, which are an oddity in themselves, but the advert takes an even stranger turn when it cuts to a dream sequence featuring former Baywatch stud David Hasselhoff. In one of the strangest 30-second spots I have ever seen, the Hoff and a grown man in a sheep costume are riding a pair of toy horses in the sky. The best part is they are both in full Baywatch garb, riding along to an air-guitar-worthy tune.

God knows what was being passed around the Air New Zealand offices when they dreamed up this marketing tactic, but it certainly caught my attention. It's hard to resist a good David Hasselhoff cameo, and the inseparable sheep twins certainly grow on viewers. Stats for Funny Fantastical Adverts Trending: Older & Chilly
