Polish artist Agatha Olek is displaying a collection of her latest crocheted masterpieces at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York.
The artist, who is now based in New York, is known for her intricate explosions of knitted, crocheted worlds. She has been known to knit entire rooms in brightly colored crochet. Indeed this exhibition features a crocheted room with knitted fruit and candelabras overflowing onto the floor. The current exhibition 'The End is Far' consists of a number of embroidered sayings, with sarcastic undertones.
The lavish exhibition will also feature performers who will interact in the crocheted installations. Olek is also known for her playful works of street art, such as a crocheted bull at Wall Street and numerous bikes and mannequins which have been engulfed in crochet by the artist.
