A Bathing Ape and TePe's 24 Karat Gold Toothbrushes

Created as a collaboration between Swedish brand TePe and hip-hop line A Bathing Ape, these toothbrushes are uber luxurious.

These samples include a 24 karat gold toothbrush model as well as one featuring the Baby Milo Bape icon. These toothbrushes are almost too cute to use. What does someone do with a 24 karat toothbrush when it is no longer usable?

Implications - Toothbrushes and other toiletries have been mostly standard and designed just to do their job. Taking these objects and adding personalized, luxury touches shows that people want more from even the basic items in their life. Designers could look at this as an opportunity to attract more unique customers with everyday adornment.
